Evolving
We
hope that one day The Butterfly Ranch will be a well-recognized
botanical garden enjoyed by many. We intend to keep
expanding and changing, adding exotic plants to attract
more wildlife and more human visitors.

Above
are two of the creatures you may find wandering about our
gardens. Sam is the ever watchful garden supervisor.
He knows everything that goes on around here. And don't be
surprised if he's the first to greet you when you come for a
visit. He also does double duty as the butler, and he's
often seen "herding" people to where they should be.
Tory
is a computer guru. Here you can see her helping us create
this website. She also greets visitors with exuberance,
sneaking under Sam, hoping to steal a little attention from him.
If
you're lucky, you may also catch a glimpse of one of the
hummingbird moths that love to frequent my butterfly ginger.
See how big the one here is? Almost as big as a
hummingbird. But some that visit are only as big as a bee
and look completely different.
In
May, we host an annual Butterfly Convention here at the
Ranch. The Convention is a small
gathering where everyone brings a dish and we all meet and chat
and exchange plants, garden items, craft items and ideas. If
you'd like to join, let us know.
We
have an Ebay store where we sell our extra plants, seeds, and
garden accessories as well as books, CDs, DVDs, clothing,
housewares and gift items. So visit our store and check back
often to see how our inventory changes. And don't forget to
see us first in the spring for some delightful new plants to add
to your gardens.
Thank
you for dropping by. We hope you enjoy your visit to the
Ranch. If you have any questions or just wanna talk
gardening, feel free to email us anytime.

Master Butterfly Chaser
